PTSD Help is a division of the Quantum Wellbeing Centre C.I.C. It is a non-profit Community Interest Company that offers help to anyone who is experiencing distressing symptoms as a result from one or more traumatic experiences. We are in the process of offering different workshops for the following:
Please do not be put off by the idea of a workshop environment; each group will consist of 6 and each participant will be matched with others having similar experiences. During the course no one will be encouraged to share their particular experiences. The protocol used allows everyone to maintain total privacy. Each workshop is structured to teach everyone attending how to use the technique as a self-care tool. One of the main purposes is to offer an understanding through an initial induction session. This is then followed by 4 further sessions which are practical. Workshop details: 5 sessions, each session lasts 2 hours. Total number of hours: 10 Cost: Currently £125 for the full workshop. In order to offer this service to those who are financially unable to pay the full cost we welcome donations. Please click here to make a donation Participants will be required to fill in intake forms, before, during and after for evaluation, all personal contact details will remain protected. The video below shows how war veterans experienced excellent levels of relief using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) but please do note our Caution: The beginning of this 20 minute video may be distressing to anyone who is currently experiencing PTSD. The latter half shows how after only 6 sessions each participant experiences high levels of relief. Although the participants in this video are all USA soldiers, your generous donation will enable us to offer similar workshop programmes for our soldiers, our emergency service industry and members of the public who have been exposed to traumatic situations here in the UK. The Emotional Freedom Technique was first introduced in the USA in 1995 by founder Gary Craig. The whole protocol is easily learnt by anyone from the age of 4 years upwards. Many young children have learnt to apply it to daily upsets. The technique involves a tapping sequence of specific acupressure points on the face and upper body whilst focusing on any physical reaction that is occurring when the person thinks about an unpleasant issue or memory. Tapping is continued until a shift occurs in how the person feels.
